Workshops for Infant, Junior, Primary, Seconday Schools
Brilliant circus workshops for schools. Our workshops are interactive, fun, inclusive, engaging and leave children with a real sense of achievement. A wide range of skills are on offer from our professional tutors who are all DBS checked, insured and provide risk assessments.
See below for more information or contact us to discuss options and availability. We also supply workshops for adult's events and family events
Circus skills workshops for schools are usually and preferably taught as structured workshops
Structured workshops allow the children to learn the circus skills in a fun and organised way that leads to a sense of achievement
Structured workshops begin with the tutor demonstrating a skill or skills and then allowing children to have a go at that skill for a certain length of time
Workshops often also have a free time at the end of a session to allow children to return to their favourite skill
There is a wide variety of skills on offer in our tutor's workshops
The circus skills taught will depend on the tutor, the age of the children, the space available and your choice among options
The range of circus skills is extensive. If you would like to learn more about the skills on offer please use the link button below
Circus skills are inclusive as an activity because the range of skills on offer means that every child can achieve something during the workshop
We have a brilliant network of professional circus skills tutors based across the country
All tutors provide a certain level of equipment. The skills offered by each tutor varies slightly and therefore if you want a specific skill included in your workshop please let us know
All the circus skills tutors we supply have been checked by us for skill, experience and whether they have a DBS check, relevant insurance and risk assessment documentation
We always ask for a minimum of one responsible adult from the school to be present throughout any workshop
Our tutors are willing to travel and therefore if we do not have a local tutor available we can offer tutors from your region or further away
We provide circus skills workshops for all school aged children from Early Years stages and Key Stage 1 & 2 to Key Stage 3 & 4.
The skills offered for each age group will vary as to will the number of tutors required.
The number of responsible adults provided by the school will depend on the age group
The length of workshops varies depending on the age group and each workshop is tailored to be engaging and fun for that age group
Circus skills workshops can be run in a variety of locations - indoors and outdoors
Indoor
Indoor workshops are best located in a sports hall although a large dining room, theatre room or similar room can suffice.
For any room the floor needs to be clean and preferably not carpeted. Any furniture or other items need to be cleared from the room or at least stacked to one side or end
Outdoor
Outdoor workshops can be run on a playing field surface or similar. Artificial grass is okay
If the workshop is being run in conjunction with other activities then an arena suitable for the workshop will be required
Circus skills workshops can be of almost any length. From one hour to a full day and from a full week to multiple weeks for one session a week
The length of a workshop will depend on a number of factors including: number of participants, skills required, the goal of the workshop, the budget available and the age of the children
Circus skills workshops give a real sense of achievement for participants.
The range of skills on offer and the level of skill that can be achieved with each piece of equipment means that there is opportunity for all participants to reach manageable goals during a workshop
An option that some tutors offer is an achievement badge or certificate scheme so children have a visual record of what they achieved during the workshop. Please contact us if you want this option to be part of your workshop
Circus show options are also available when booking a circus workshop. There are two types:
Tutor Performed
A tutor can perform a circus / juggling show prior to, or after the circus skills workshop. The show is a performance for all the children involved in the circus activity and is only usually performed once per day
Children Performed
For workshops that are fun over at least a day but usually over a number of days a circus show can be created for presentation to the school and/or the parents of the children
If you are interested in this option please contact us
“I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks to your team for their help with our event on Saturday. Everyone seemed to have a fantastic time. I didn't actually get a chance to catch up with them on the day, but I know one of my colleagues got some top tips for juggling that he was very pleased with!
Thanks again for your help.”
“I just wanted to say a huge thank you for helping me.
The performers were great and made our event very successful. All our guys who took part absolutely loved it! When we have the pictures back I will forward some on as the performers said they would like some.
